God told Abraham,
Take your son Isaac, your only son whom you love,
and go to the mountains of Moriah and sacrifice him there
where I tell you to go

My name is Isaac. My Dad is Abraham. This is my story which I will never forget. We were walking along and I thought about Dad's offering. I said, "Father?"
He said, "Yes, my son?"
I said, "We have the wood, and we have the fire, but where is the lamb which we require?"
He said, "The Lord will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son."
And we just kept walking along to the place where God instructed...

Father said sin had a costly price
So we came here to make a burnt sacrifice
Then we went up alone and we climbed this hill
Though we had no lamb which Dad would need to kill

Then what occurred now seems all as a blur
My father placed me on the wood and bound me still
Poised above his head in his hands was a knife
But an angel intervened, "You must not take his life!"

But then, at that moment, God revealed the chosen lamb
Offered tangled in a thicket, from the great 'I Am'

During all that time my father trusted You
that You would intervene with your character true
God never had intended me harm
Nor did my father's obedience need to cause alarm
