Viewing lyrics for Hirai Ken - Shashin Cover by Ivan Alexander.

I always thought that this song is a bit sad but I never knew that this song was written by Hirai Ken for his late father. I was glad I watched the 14th March Music Station where he appeared as one of the guests. He sang Shashin during that show. Before he sang the song, he explained the origins of the song. He said to the host that one day he woke up in the middle of the night and he found himself looking at the family pictures and he was really sad (I guess that’s when he composed the song ?). Then the host asked him the pictures, were they taken when they were at a beach (as mentioned in the song). He said yes and they were taken when he was around 5. He also mentioned that he looked like his father then (which was mentioned in the song also).

When he sang the song, oh gosh ~~ he sang it to the point that he almost cried :( … There’s english translation to the song (because this show is already subbed to English) but I didn’t note down the translation. Zannen desu.
