Once again, join GALLEON and many more local and regional musical acts at wildman Josh Rifkind's annual extravaganza 500 SONGS FOR KIDS. The event concludes this Saturday night May 2 at Smith's Olde Bar in Ansley Park, Atlanta, GA. GALLEON will perform that night at about 9:30 p.m. We'll be reprising our recent performance of "LAST NITE" by the Strokes, and we've added some new wrinkles to our arrangement in order to keep the viewers as off balance as we are! Admission to this event is on a pay-what-you-can basis, and all proceeds benefit the SONGS FOR KIDS FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization which uses music as therapy to help seriously ill and injured children. 500 SONGS FOR KIDS is a fun event for a great cause - the children. So come on out and join us on SATURDAY NIGHT MAY 2 for a wonderful climax to this event. What will you be doing that's more important than this? For more information, log into http://www.songsforkidsfoundation.org/ and we hope to see all of you there. Thanks, and rock on, Elliott Michaels for GALLEON! http://www.songsforkidsfoundation.org/SFKFacebookCover.jpg

“When I'm up there singing and the band is playing solid and strong with me, and there's a good crowd and they're really picking up on what we're putting down - that's when a feeling comes over me that's hard to describe, and I feel like a real superstar ... even though we all know I'm just another local musician, playing in a local band at a local club.”
