Often compared to John Prine, Willie Nelson, Woody Guthrie and James Taylor, CowboySlim writes songs from the heart, and tells stories of common people in most uncommon situations. His lyrics pull at your heartstrings, suggesting ways to make our world a better place to live, and giving us all food for thought. Sometimes he tries to make us think, sometimes, to make us laugh, but he's always there to entertain. A native Californian, he moved to Nashville in 2002. In 2009, CowboySlim’s song, “Freedom” from his Live At The Sutler CD was nominated for a JPF award. CowboySlim wrote the song, “Electric Car” which is being used as the theme for a television show in Nashville about alternative fuel vehicles. Also in 2009, CowboySlim won the grand prize at the annual Singer/Songwriter competition in Salem, IL.
