Minneapolis based rockers Pinwheel are just one album deep into a career, but the quintet is already on the precipice of something big. On the band's full length release "Reset" there's a distinctly powerful sonic groundwork being laid. Think the melodic veracity of Tool meeting the instrumental headiness of Chevelle & Nine inch Nails. Since forming in 2008, Pinwheel has been playing shows throughout the midwest opening for acts like, Crossfade, 10 years, Nonpoint, Mushroomhead, Drowning Pool, Red jump suit apparatus & Fuel, increasing their already strong fan base with every show they play, while reaching out and gaining fans outside of their region via radio and online marketing. Their first independently released single "Reset" reached #6 on the CMJ music charts. One thing is clear, the impressive chops summing up Pinwheel's whole are an aggressive, boundary-testing aberration. The band's output is tightly-excuted and atmospherically jarring. Combine all that with a notoriously raucous live show, and you've got one of the twin cities best hard rock bands. They plan to continue expanding their following by working so hard they get fired from their jobs, and destroy their personal relationships, there is no "plan B".
