Weary from Los Angeles and fueled by purple cush, 3 brothers return home to the vibrant community of Austin, Texas. They form a band. They name this band Burning Avalanche.
Their influences come from a variety of places, ranging from Fu Manchu, Queens of the Stone Age, The Stooges, Truckfighters, and Ted Nugent to the forward thinking of Alan Watts, Nikola Tesla, and Aldous Huxley.
Burning Avalanche have played regionally in support of both national and international acts: Leogun (UK), IAMDYNAMITE, Queen Kwong, Scorpion Child, Radio Moscow, Eagle Claw, Amplified Heat, Tia Carrera, The Dead Love (Aus), Coastal Son (UK), and Midnight Ghost Train.
Burning Avalanche has recently released their self-titled EP recorded at The Bubble Studio in Austin, Tx with Grammy nominated producer Chris "Frenchie" Smith (Jet, The Datsuns, The Toadies).
The debut single "69'r", mixed & mastered by Jason Buntz (Gary Clark Jr., The Toadies, Ume), was released at seminal Austin venue Stubb's on September 5th and is available for purchase on iTunes and streaming on Spotify.
