The boys of Split Shot got together to play, for the first time, back in January of 2010. It was not magic at first note, or even close. In fact it was sloppy, rusty, and loud. But there was something there that made these guys stick with it, and after almost a year of writing, rehearsing and playing a few shows, they are ready.
Sam (vocals/guitar) and Isaac (Bass/vocals) are brothers, and have been playing music together for over 15 years. Sam typically writes a song, presents it to Isaac for the yes or no vote, and if it's a yes it is presented to the rest of the guys.
Chris Foss (lead guitar) came into the picture several years ago after answering an ad for a keyboard player for Sam and Isaac's previous band 'Miznoma'. That band laid down some tracks, but split up before the album was finished. Eventually the tracks were mixed, mastered and released as Split Shot's first album.
Dave Roda (drums) was then added to reform the group as a new band, with a new name and a new sound. His experience touring with many different artists, including Melvin Seals, and his ability to communicate musically with the rest of the guys, has brought this group to a unique, exciting blend of jam music, rock and pop.
