Boston, Massachusetts - During the winter of January '09, HALOBURN frontman Micah Banks got together with four close friends from his old Dorchester neighborhood for good times, beer and making music. As soon as the first groove hit everyone in the room knew immediately the fuse was lit. It had to be heard and a project was born.
BENEATH THE STONE cemented their sound with a sturgy dirt rock groove, slick harmonizing guitars and powerhouse vocals, combining their favorite elements from Rock-n-Roll, 90's Metal, Southern Rock, Grunge, and Stoner Rock. Now comes a time when lyrics are from the heart and the almighty riff is king.
Within a month BTS hit the studio with mix master Alex "The Greek" at Old Folks Home Recording Studios and released their first single and have continued recording and have recieved airplay on Boston rock radio staions WAAF 97.7 fm and WBCN 104.1 fm.
BTS then hit the Boston live music circuit and that's where they made their name. They quickly developed a strong local fan base earning rave reviews from concert go-ers and music scene insiders alike. Within a year of their first show they will have shared the stage with national acts like Soulfly, Days of the New, Sebastian Bach, Prong, Nonpoint, Cold, Diecast and more. 2012 looks like a great year for the band!
