Nathan Allen is a young artist from Brampton, Ontario. He is a graduate of Fletcher’s Meadow Secondary School where he was a part of the Acting Academy Program, (also known as Eminence Production Company) where students are taught business, and communication skills to market themselves as successful and trained performing artists. Ultimately, Nathan’s goal is to continue to grow as an all-around artist and human being.
Nathan has produced films for shows, contests, school projects, and for personal enjoyment. He is currently producing a feature-length film called “First Spring,” which is the sequel to “First Christmas” which was produced in December of 2009. Shows in which his films have been featured include the “Stop the Violence Campaign,” the “North of 7 Film Festival.” Nathan was also the director of “FMN,” the Fletcher’s Meadow News show in his senior year.
Nathan has experience as a filmmaker, musician, writer, and actor. He has performed in shows musically from when he was just eight years old and is currently part of a Jazz combo named Afterthought. The combo has played in many venues such as the El Mocambo, the Rose Theatre, and the Brampton Winter Lights festival. Nathan is also a member of the FMSS Jazz and Concert Bands.
His blog, “Insight from the Artist,” focuses on the challenges and questions that all artists face at one time or another. He has appeared as an actor in shows such as the FMSS Mainstage Production "12 Angry Jurors," the “Stop the Violence Campaign,” and The Peel Crimestoppers DVD.
Nathan continues to focus on strengthening his artistic repertoire through studying the works of great Directors, Cinematographers, actors, and musicians. He will be furthering his education in the York University Film Production program, where he can work towards a future in filmmaking, while continuing to improve himself as an all around artist and human being.
