Wailing to the bleeding moon on a heartbroken hell-bent night. Whiskey dripping down the chin of a carnal, sex- driven, Theocritus walking back to the saloon to croon to all the pretty ladies. That is the basis of the whiskey wailers conception. The Whiskey Wailers are a psycho- blues band that birthed from the weeping Bellingham Washington. This body consists of:Wolfman James with his throaty iron lungs testifying with the conviction of a preacher on the day of the rapture, while strumming his guitar soothing and cementing the panic, Brandy Battery with her raspy wails and slapping the double bass like pounding the coffin nails out of an enclosed grave , Dangerous D swooning the ladies with golden pipes and coaxing the virginity out of their ears with his guitar, and Bazooka Bill filling everyone’s groins with his voodoo beats, that will almost always lead to sweet, sweet coitus. After Officially kicking the pig in March of 2007 they have played with the renound: Dick Dale, The Meteors, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Murder by Death, Devil Doll, Helles Belles, The Chop Tops, Three Bad Jacks, Big John Bates, The Creepshow, Floater, The Goddamn Gallows, Stellar Corpses, Johnny Mercury, James Hunnicutt and the Revolvers, The Black Crabs, just to name a few The Whiskey Wailers believe one shouldn't be forced to be flies attracted to the glittery lights that are forced down your throat of over produced over hyped jigs that have no soul! prepare for the macabre gospel that will be knocking at your door and repent to the sinful melody leading your ears astray
this band broke up in 2011, only getting together to play special shows. Wolfman James and Bazooka Bill are now in the band Black Beast Revival. And Brandy Battery (Bones) is playing with Big John Bates.
