Erica Anthony is a bi-lingual (English and Brazilian Portuguese) singer/songwriter and gigs mainly on voice, upright bass, and acoustic guitar and has performed on violin, electric bass, berimbau, and pandeiro. Her style is heavily influenced by jazz injected with bossa nova, flamenco, punk, rock, soul, and ska.
Erica does not have a real stage name, nor does she have any type of schtick or gimmick; she concentrates on music quality rather than bringing a show to her shows and aims to make collaborations and recording with others go as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Erica Anthony has music that has been featured in several indie films that have been featured in acclaimed festivals around the country and was a speaker and performer at TEDxSanAntonio in 2012. She has collaborated with other musicians from San Antonio and Austin as well as some out of South Africa and Utah and continues to work with other local artists on arrangements, collaborations, and session work. Erica is currently cataloging her own music and and singing with her bossa nova band, Bossamania.
