I started to write when I met my wife Karen of 22 + beautiful fun filled years, taking it serious about 8 years ago. I have won many best song awards since and have had the pleasure of working with some very talented artists. The songs that have won awards start with my song "Butterfly Feeling" this is a beautifully written Country/Pop song that I wrote about how my wife felt for me when we first started dating, and although the whole song expresses her feelings towards me it was the 2nd verse that captivates the feeling of both of us because that is exactly what happened when we met. We played a game of "eye tag."
The other songs that have won awards are "Lost And Lonely Soul" "Ten Million Tears" "What Makes You Want Her More" "Had To Get The Rhythm Out Of Me" "I Was In A Bad Way" and I wrote the children's song that my granddaughter won an award for. Then there's "I'll Never Let Go" a song that I wrote then co-wrote with "Archer" and my song "Long Ago" that I won an award for from "Archer" himself for having the # 1 song on his album "Emotional and Inspirational." This album went on and was nominated into the top 5 in the P.E.I. Music Awards for Best Country Album Recording. (Prince Edward Island)
My 2 main goals are to write a song that will put an artist or artists up on that "Red Carpet" for an award. A lot of people including the famous Jack Ashford of the Funk Brothers Band, and who was with the famous groups from the Mo-Town days, said "I was one of the best song writers of todays times. I can write lyrics with out music if you tell me what you need and style, or... I can write words to instrumental tracks, if you tell me what you are looking for in words.
Basically I can write any genre or style song except I don't write Hip/Hop or Rap. But in seeing if I could, I did write "Superficial Man" which is Rock/Rap and available to any recording artist upon request.
In ending here I just want to say one more thing "See You On The Red Carpet..."
