Ray Glenn always had a passion for music, but it was not until the Navy that he began singing for audiences in Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Japan, and finally back in the good ole U.S.A.
After leaving the Navy, he worked as a police officer, and occasionally entered contest. When his four year old daughter was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, there was an additional need for money for diabetic supplies. Along this time, he saw a contest offered by Mike Linnig, with a $1000 first prize. He did not win the contest, but met Danny Dale and The Legends Then and Now, who immediately included him in their shows. He also met Blondie Crabtree of Blondie Presents at this contest, which also helped him get into the jamboree circuit and booked into several venues.
He now is well known throughout the Louisville Metro area, and often performs with other great entertainers such as Todd Bodenheimer, Pat Portman, Glen Rice, and Dr. Roger Conley. Ray has performed at the Kentucky State Fair, Shepherdsville Music Jamboree, The Music Ranch, Lebanon Junction Jamboree, Derby Dinner Playhouse, and the Eagles Lounge in Indianapolis.
Ray quickly became known as the “Kenny Rogers” guy, but has expanded his repertoire to include Roy Orbison, Bobby Vinton, Bobby Goldsboro, Tom Jones, Gary Puckett, Elton John, John Denver, and some groups from the 70s such as, the Grass Roots, Jim Croche, Lobo, and Steppenwolf.
