David and Geoff played together in a band called "The Castaways" in the early sixties in England. They played gigs in the East Anglia region and appeared on BBC Television's Junior Angle Club in Norwich. They also appeared with several well known bands of the time, including the Hollies.
In 1974, David and Geoff got together once again with a bass guitarist Keith Green and a rhythm guitarist "Charlie" DeCamps to form the "John Dory Four." This band worked East Anglia gigs for five years until it disbanded in 1979. The "John Dory Four" has recently re-formed to work at specific gigs and to record some of their material that they performed back in the "seventies".
David, who now resides in South Carolina, USA, has worked together with Geoff in the UK since 2011, by using electronic collaboration and produced the album "Changes", consisting of 12 instrumental songs, all penned by David and supported by Geoff with percussion. The album was released in 2013 and is available on "CDBaby.com".
"Tunes from my Guitar" is the second Album that David and Geoff have produced together and features different guitar sounds in a variety of tunes, including three Beatle's numbers, two Andrew Lloyd Webber show songs and two Abba songs from their album "Visitors". Also featured is an instrumental version of Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" which was inspired after listening to this being played by the very talented jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan.
