JAG are a four-piece rock band based in Worthing.
The inception of the band dates back to 2003-ish, when singist Dan Powell and axeman Mark M Thompson decided that it would be fun to write some tunes together and play some gigs. They hired the chimpanzee (Jay) to play drums and off they went.
A couple of years later, they found by chance the sublime, serene and shiny Steven James to play the low notes and lo and behold: JAG was a complete, and exceptionally tight, outfit.
Having been a staple crowd puller in the boozers all across the widely known town of Worthing (and occasionally Brighton and even as far as scary London) rocking out superb cover material and the odd original, JAG have finally decided to get their organisational act together and take it all to the next level.
Studio sessions have been alive with writing and recording of late, and you can own a taster of the fruits of this labour your good selves by heading over to the Reverbnation or MySpace sites.
Come and check the boys out at any upcoming gig and see for yourselves why JAG were declared "second best band in Worthing" by some drunk bloke in a pub last year... they're still none the wiser to who's number one.
