X:144 is hip hop's contemporary depiction of a young Herbie Hancock whose skills go beyond the mere ability to be an emcee. Instrumentalist who has mastered the art of listening, X:144 is the production mastermind behind some of hip hop veterans and up and coming artists. He is the creator of his production company Beats•Rhymes•Films™, and is one of the founding forefathers of the term Ozone; a title adopted by the Hip-Hop culture as a moniker for the city of Orlando, Florida.
His body of work enlists artists such as Kool G Rap, Mars Ill, MF Doom, Joel Ortiz, Saigon, Qusai, Psyche Origami, Nino Bless, and Solillaquists of Sound. In 2005 X:144 and DJ SPS teamed up to fashion a new sound while incorporating the sounds reminiscent of his youth. He emceed, produced, and mixed their debut album M.E. on Nonsense Records. X:144 has been awarded Hip-Hop Artist of the Year in Orlando Weekly, Bangin' Beats Producer Champ, Two-Time Lounge Battles Producer Champion, and is the 1st Scribble Jam Producer Battle Champion ever. Currently he is working on his upcoming solo album while venturing in to the world of video/movie directing. The level proficiency in his arsenal of talents is something that the renaissance artists of today should take note from.
