X:144 / Bio

X:144 is hip hop's contemporary depiction of a young Herbie Hancock whose skills go beyond the mere ability to be an emcee. Instrumentalist who has mastered the art of listening, X:144 is the production mastermind behind some of hip hop veterans and up and coming artists. He is the creator of his production company Beats•Rhymes•Films™, and is one of the founding forefathers of the term Ozone; a title adopted by the Hip-Hop culture as a moniker for the city of Orlando, Florida.

His body of work enlists artists such as Kool G Rap, Mars Ill, MF Doom, Joel Ortiz, Saigon, Qusai, Psyche Origami, Nino Bless, and Solillaquists of Sound. In 2005 X:144 and DJ SPS teamed up to fashion a new sound while incorporating the sounds reminiscent of his youth. He emceed, produced, and mixed their debut album M.E. on Nonsense Records. X:144 has been awarded Hip-Hop Artist of the Year in Orlando Weekly, Bangin' Beats Producer Champ, Two-Time Lounge Battles Producer Champion, and is the 1st Scribble Jam Producer Battle Champion ever.
