Andrea Charls is an internationally recognized Singer-Songwriter and Entertainer. She was born and raised in the exotic and beautiful island of Cyprus, and currently resides in Boston, MA. Andrea holds a Bachelors Degree in music from the Prestigious Berklee College of Music. During her time in Boston, Andrea has had the incredible opportunity to work with iconic artists such as Annie Lennox, Javier Limon, Pepe de Lucía, José Mercé and Mario Frangoulis among many others.
From an early age, Andrea toured across both Cyprus and Greece with the Laiki Orchestra of RIK - The main broadcasting corporation of Cyprus, for audiences in the thousands. She gained much critical acclaim through these performances, leaving her audiences in awe of her talents.
Throughout her career in Boston, Andrea recorded her debut EP entitled “What You Wanna Do", produced by award-winning Producer, Nicolas Farmakalidis (EMI, WARNER BROTHERS, COLUMBIA Records). Only a few months after the release of her EP, Andrea was nominated under the category of "Best Pop Song" for her work on “What You Wanna Do" at the prestigious Hollywood Music Awards, 2012. Andrea would later record with renowned Flamenco artist, José Mercé, on his Album “Mi Única Llave” which was nominated for a Latin GRAMMY Award for “Best Flamenco Album”.
Andrea has had the pleasure of performing at various venues such as the Cotton Club NYC, Highline Ballroom NYC, Symphony Hall, and the Agganis Arena in Boston, where she had the opportunity to perform with the legendary Annie Lennox. She constantly travels between Boston and New York to perform shows as a leader, as well as with various artists and collaborators.
Andrea is currently in the process of recording her highly anticipated debut Album, which is set to be released in September of 2015. The Album is a cumulative result of years of writing and life experience, and blends her Cypriot heritage with influences of the American Pop music of today.
