Amanda Christine is a singer songwriter from Portland, Oregon. Her remarkable vocal range is matched by lyrics that reveal intelligence, vulnerability and strength. Amanda’s debut album, (artist’s proof), was released in the summer of 2008. (artist’s proof) is the intuitive musical exploration of her journey. The CD reveals a fierce yet tender and broken hearted young mother whose journey is a fascinating passage of youth, life and love. Her journey is the rediscovery of her life dreams.
While this journey has taken her from the West Coast to the East Coast and back again, Amanda has set her spring and summer on the place she regards as home, the Willamette Valley wine country. A Willamette Valley Wine Reception will take place at the historic- and controversial- West-Park Church which has recently been designated landmark status without the funds for restoration. This event will be a live recording in Manhattan on June 16th which pairs nine songs with nine wines from the wineries of her Summer 2011 Tasting Tour. The 550 seat church is known for it’s cathedral acoustics, it’s presence at the vanguard of historic social change, and it’s developing cultural centre. It has a long tradition of being a performance space for diverse genres of music and nationally known musicians. The Willamette Valley Wine Reception is part of a week long benefit series that kicks off on June 13th with the 100 Gala Benefit, which Amanda will be performing at as well. All proceeds of the weeks concert ticket sales will directly benefit the Centre @ West-Park; a community for intentional collaboration of artists and individuals dedicated for exploration, and social and spiritual transformation.
