LUCY ANGEL is Kate, Lindsay and Emily Anderton, three talented, entertaining and brilliantly charismatic individuals who together are a family band like nothing you have ever heard (or seen) before. Kate, mother to Lindsay and Emily, passed her talent and her love of music to her daughters and so LUCY ANGEL was born.
Kate grew up as an army brat, the daughter of a Opera singing General, and knows no life without music. Among her many accomplishments is winning the Wrangler® Country Showdown. A few years later, Lindsay, her first child, took the stage and performed her first solo, “Paper Woses,” (as she called it) at just 4 years old By the time Lindsay was twelve, she began singing professionally alongside her mom and was quick to develop her own style and sound. It wasn’t until the Arizona natives made the trek to Nashville, where Lindsay and Kate gained recognition as a duo that Emily decided to join the band. Emily picked up the guitar right away and made her way to the front of the stage.
The band has touched audiences around the world performing hundreds of shows in the U.S. in support of their freshman album and the self-titled EP. In addition, they have toured Japan, Switzerland, and China. Lucy Angel is honored to hold the distinction of being the very first Western Hemisphere act to perform at the Great Hall of the People in Tiananmen Square, Beijing.
Their extraordinary family harmonies and contagious country music have won over fans everywhere they have performed. The group released 2 singles off their self-titled LUCY ANGEL EP in 2011. The 5 song release was produced by Nashville songwriting prodigy Anthony Smith. The EP includes several songs written by Smith (George Strait, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill) including the singles “Only Woman Left” and “Serious” which captured the attention of the Country music world and put the Lucy Angel on the map. The group is now gearing up to release the third single “I’ll Be Your Whiskey”. Lucy Angel is also busy writing and recording for their upcoming full length album which is slated for a 2013 release.
This talented band’s star is on the rise. From the opening harmony to the closing note their songs are refreshingly honest, undeniably catchy, and quite unmistakably LUCY ANGEL.
