Los Angeles based, folk-traditionalist Frank Fairfield has come a long way in the past few years. Since being discovered playing the city's sidewalks and signing to New York Folk label Tompkins Square, he has toured the country numerous times. Supporting Fleet Foxes on their 2008 tour, he moved on to play with such acts as Charlie Louvin, Pokey Lafarge, Charlie Parr and Blind Boy Paxton, becoming a popular act at the annual Pickathon festival and appearing on NPR's Morning Edition.
For Tompkins Square, Frank has released one self titled album and one compilation of 78's - Unheard Ofs and Forgotten Abouts - on his recently established imprint label Pawn Records.
After touring the UK and Europe in the fall of 2010, Frank is now back in LA recording his next album and compiling his next collection of 78 recordings to see release in the Spring/Summer of 2011.
