Maren Metke is a vocalist, pianist, songwriter who grew up on an island in the Puget Sound. Her music ranges a broad landscape and has been described as soulful, emotive, bluesy, jazzy with a folk, funk and R& B edge.
She has a powerful voice and presence, and can be found singing at festivals, ceremonies, parties, super clubs, and more. She performs her original work as well as collaborates on many other projects (from the US west coast across to india).
Maren recently had the honor of sharing the stage with and opening for John Topper of Blues Traveler, Alan Toussaint and Dr. John.
She is currently singing in N. Cal/ Bay Area and the Sierra foothills with various projects, such as Blackbird Quartet (vintage jazz project) and Honeysweet (soul funk R&B) and ALB (afro-latin band). She is honored to play with musicians such as Ananda Vaughan, David Chapman, Marlon Aldana, Rob Holland, Thomas Spellman, Aedryan Gantt, Chad York, Cedar Hennings, Karl Chellete, Bill Douglass, Kelly Fleming, Jacob Aginsky, Mafu Williams, Justin Renfrow, Justin Ancheta, Jason McGuire and more.
