Lynda Morrison -vocalist
These days’ female vocalists are literally a-dime-a-dozen, but every once in a while one comes along that stops you in your tracks by their sheer expressiveness and deep soulfulness. Lynda Morrison is just such a vocalist. A seasoned veteran, she has the vocal power to slam you against the wall and, at the same time, a vulnerability that will melt your heart and move you to tears. Comparisons to Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Eva Cassidy and Janis Joplin are not uncommon, but Lynda Morrison truly has her own voice and with a large and growing following, no matter where it is she is singing, her loyal fans show up to enthusiastically and lovingly support her.
Lynda began her professional music career in her teens when she went on the road with various club bands in the 1980’s. By the end of the decade she had already participated in multiple tours and recording projects. She quickly became the girl everyone called to sing on their albums and in their bands. In the early 90’s Lynda recorded her first solo album, “The River”. Assisting in the production and performance on it were Jaymes Felix (Tower of Power, Bryan Duncan), Greg Eckler (Rubicon, Darrell Mansfield), Bob Anglin (Sammy Hagar, Darrell Mansfield) and numerous others. Lynda also wrote or co-wrote many of the songs on it. The album was a regional success and has since sold out!
