Bob Reid / Bio

Bob Reid is a Toronto songwriter whose debut recording project is "Highway of Heroes," a powerful tribute to Canadian troops serving in Afghanistan, and to the quiet patriots who turn out by the thousands to honour the fallen when they return home for the last time.

Featuring Triumph guitar master Rik Emmett and produced by Blair Packham (The Jitters, Andy Kim & Ron Sexsmith), the single quickly became a phenomenon, selling out its first run at retail and earning national media attention and a distribution deal with Universal Music Canada. "Highway of Heroes" debuted at #1 on the Nielsen/Soundscan Canadian Singles Sales Chart just before Christmas 2009 and remained in the Top 10 for two separate 16-week runs in 2010.

A share of sale proceeds goes to support the Wounded Warriors Fund (www.woundedwarriors.ca)
