The History of the FoxCat:
Like most happenings in life, Zorro Gato began brewing long before it was ever named. It was the summer of 2000 when Al Cochrane and Kevin Mekenney first began performing together in a group that would last through early 2004. Their passion for making music continued beyond that venture into a new phase of honing and refining their craft. The time for expanding this dynamic duo would come in late 2007 when long-time friend and supporter, Steve Micek, joined ZG on bass and over the next year as a trio the group would become a fixture in the local Delaware County bar scene. In early 2009 the trio grew once more to incorporate the fire-spitting, ivory tickling stylings of former classmate and new-found friend, Stephen Kokas. With this latest installment, Zorro Gato has found its stride as their sound has grown to reach new heights.
