American Lesion / Bio

americanLesion is the story teller of the American dream, as well as the American nightmare. The hopes and aspirations that push the glory and the fantasy, but making sure the cold underbelly is never misunderstood. A five-piece ensemble holding a blinding spotlight to lead you into the madness of patriotism carried with the eternal rhythms of Rock'n'Roll. Driven though raspy blues-guitars that emphasize the violence of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Erratic drum beats that carry you across the rapids in a strait jacket. Playful bass that lifts you up just when it is too orgasmic, and then drops you back down and pulls you along the waves. The top is cherried with vocals pulled from the history that makes America, and the America that makes history.

americanLesion has been honored and humbled to play with The Misfits, Fuel, Flaw and Ten Years spreading the infectious gospel of their Polycadaverous Outlaw Rock to the masses.

americanLesion has been compared to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and The Beatles at times, and at others compared to Nirvana, Tool, Clutch and occasionally Wolfmother. The one fact that fans and critics can say in comparison is: ultimately there is none. americanLesion is the product of five severely different tongues licking the same hot wire, creating an explosion of static snow that burns the American dream into your soul. americanLesion sounds like americanLesion.

After just a few local shows, the band released A 3-song EP called "The worst of many", which was limited to 100 copies all distributed around September 2009. This album included various "items" (such as q-tips, kool ade packets, etc.) inserted into the cd case of around 25 copies.

Their debut Full-length album "The Black Plague Revival" was released on May 13th 2010, followed by a full year of nonstop shows! During this time they shared the stage with Jackyl, The Misfits, and many other stellar acts!. Songs from this album have become absolute staples for ANY americanLesion show such as Uncle Sam, Sapphire, Ed the Butcher, and Revelation ( the closer at most shows).
They have been called "the hardest working band in Atlanta", as well as "Atlanta's most debaucherous band"! During this period they also established themselves as being THE band to see at The Clermont Lounge in Atlanta, GA.

Their second full-length album was released on December 1st, 2011, entitled "Social Insecurity"! It was a much more progressive effort than the previous projects, and included several songs which had been played at shows for quite a while. It is considered by most fans to be very ecclectic and more polished than the previous projects. This release saw the band take it on the road moreso, and traveling became more prevalent to establish new fanbases. At this point, americanLesion has become an independent powerhouse begging for some decent competition......

A Second EP is due for release on June 30th, 2012 titled "Just a Taste" and is officially the 4th release from the band. The EP will include 3 tracks and will be available in 3 separate formats (CD, 7-inch vinyl, and Digit download) with 2 different versions (Artwork and track listing will vary).
