Loretta Callens began her journey through music at an early age. She credits her parents with fostering a love of music which shows in each performance. Music critic, Tom Geddie of Buddy Magazine stated “Callens can sing” in his review of her first album, “Strayz”.
In Loretta’s early musical days she performed in folk duet Firelight, Pine Hill Bluegrass and two east Texas southern rock bands. She presently performs at wineries, art galleries, festivals, coffee houses, house concerts and private events in east Texas area.
Since 2009 Loretta has released three CDs, “Strayz”, “Say A Little Prayer For Texas” and “Life Is Good”.
Aside from performing and songwriting, Loretta produced nineteen outdoor festivals, co-founded and produced the 2009 and 2010 Texas Independent Music Expo.
Another of Loretta’s projects is “Sentimental Journey” Improving Lives Through Music, which provides entertainment to assisted living and nursing centers at no cost to the facility. The project’s goal is to provide more live music to the residents than they would receive otherwise.
