In 2005, Virginia and Trey's paths first crossed as a discussion of their favorite musicians transitioned into realizing they both shared a mutual appreciation for the genius of Frank Zappa. Within a year, they were married and first began performing and writing music together. By 2010, the marriage was over and the couple had separated, yet their shared passion for music was unwavering through their own personal turmoil as the deep creative partnership that had been formed years ago remained in tact.
The couple formed Verge of Bliss as a trio in December of 2010 with Virginia Bliss on bass/vocals, Trey Bliss on guitar, and Stuart Gussman playing drums. Stuart left in 2013, but the band forged ahead as a duo exploring the many sub genres or rock/metal/pop. The couple call upon an array of influences to channel heavy and at times psychedelic sounds into foreboding original anthems. Without question, the dynamic of the duo itself leads to an exciting tension exhibited throughout their music.
The debut EP was released in October 2012. while the full length album 'Enabler' was released April 24th, 2013 and is available on iTunes and streaming on Spotify. Influences include The Dead Weather, Queens of the Stone Age, and The Kills.
