Best Not Broken has built a reputation as one of New England's premier bands. After spending several years on the covers circuit, the group released its first collection of original material in October 2012 and has continued to develop new songs ever since.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Eric Jackson formed the band in 2007. Bassist John Clifford joined in 2010, and guitarist/backing vocalist Nik Farr joined in 2011. With the 2013 addition of drummer Carlo Carluccio, the band has begun to expand its reach in and around the New England area, with plans to play major markets like New York and Philadelphia in 2014.
Produced by Boston legend David Minehan (The Neighborhoods, Dropkick Murphys, Peter Wolf, Paul Westerberg), the band's studio recordings show a maturity gleaned from years of experience learning songcraft by studying classic and modern hits. Melodies glisten and sparkle like the best pop songs, while guitars alternately grind with punk rock abandon and chime like shiny New Wave. The rhythm section propels each song into danceable territory, and keyboards add ambience and poignance.
Best Not Broken maintains an active online presence, with Twitter and Facebook followings that are growing each day. The band is gearing up for the release of its second studio EP in the Spring of 2014, which will be accompanied by a video for the first single "I Won't Stop Loving You." A radio promotion campaign is planned to generate interest and will be accompanied by a string of shows around in the Northeastern U.S.
When all is said and done, Best Not Broken’s heart beats in its songs—songs that are alive with emotion, unifying listeners with stories of our human condition—a condition that is, after all, best not broken.
