Chelsea Rae is a 20 year old folk-pop singer/songwriter from Wilmington, Delaware who has been singing, arranging and writing original music for close to ten years. As a 2010 vocal major graduate of Cab Calloway School of the Arts, Chelsea continues to pursue her love of making music. Chelsea is adept at both creating, composing and arranging complex harmonies as well as melodies. Chelsea is a multi-instrumentalist and it’s not uncommon to find her writing music on either a guitar or piano.
Chelsea Rae has been influenced by a number of musicians, among them: Joan Baez, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkel, The Mamas and The Papas, The Grateful Dead, The Indigo Girls, Boy George, Phish, Tegan & Sara, Eisley, Meg and Dia, Keller Williams and Joanna Newsom. Chelsea plays Martin guitars and uses the BOSS RC-30 Loop Station.
