Eric Ham / Bio

Stop and listen to any of Eric Ham’s lyrics and you know a little about him. Listen to his albums and you will feel like family.
Eric Ham was born and raised in the small town of Winchester,Kentucky, just outside of Lexington. It is that upbringing and small town influence that Ham credits toward allowing him to cultivate his unique sound. Ham’s taste in music always swayed toward a southern country rock feel, but his true-to-life testimony of heartache, trials, triumph, and success found a home in country music.

From the early age of 12, Ham knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life. Be a country music singer. He soon began writing lyrics. He continued to only write until in he attended a Jamey Johnson/James Otto concert in his hometown. From that moment on he wanted only one thing. To be on stage, singing his songs, and impacting those who would listen to his words. In 2012 with his friend "Big" Kenny Granger he began working on the music to go with 16 songs that he judged to be his best. In March of 2012 he recorded his first acoustic album which he called, "Something Personal". The songs and album received great reviews from his new found fans, later to be called the EH Army.
After a move to Arkansas he tried to continue his career but took a short hiatus.
"I had let the fire pretty much burn out. Then of course I meet this woman who just inspired a ton of songs and helped to make the fire burn even more. Now here I am about to try and make this dream a reality."

Along with his original songs, Ham also performs cover songs ranging from classics by Steve Earle to Hank Sr, to more modern artists such as Brantley Gilbert and his friend Brian Davis.
Eric is scheduled to release his official independant debut album, "From the Ashes" in April of 2013. One year after his official journey began.
