Jessey has always been surrounded by music. As a child, he remembers sitting in the hallway outside of the laundry room in his house as his mother would sing and record songs she had written of heartbreak and regret. Unbeknownst to Thompson, moments like those would greatly influence his musical path. At the age of 15, Jessey started his first band, in which he played lead guitar. JAGG would quickly achieve local success and it was through this endeavor that Jessey would meet artist/producer, Mike McClure (Formerly of The Great Divide). McClure and Thompson stayed in touch over the years as Thompson made the transition from guitarist to songwriter. McClure, being so impressed with Thompson’s songwriting capabilities and his distinct originality, would eventually sign him to his record label, 598 recordings. Thompson’s unique blend of Folk, Americana and mellow Pop is a refreshing sound for avid music lovers who are fans of any genre.
