Zebra Panic originally started out as Avera in 2011. In January of 2012 Avera officially became Zebra Panic with three of its original members, David Provenzano, Brandon Reyes, and Jason Callahan., adding a new drummer Jonathan Reyes into the band. Since middle school the members of Zebra Panic have been playing music, and while growing up with each other they began writing their own music and lyrics forming their current band. With a strong passion for music Zebra Panic began competing in a nation wide church competition with Faith Assembly of God called "Fine Arts" Winning the district level and placing in the top 3 during their years of competition. Lead vocalist Nick Daas was added to the group earlier this year providing the group with the vocals needed to take them to the next level. This summer due to family issues, drummer Jonathan Reyes left the group and was replaced by Michael Williams alternating with Isaac Wilson.
With God and music as their drive Zebra Panic has found inspiration in several bands such as Dance Gavin Dance, The Offspring, Set by Ravens, Linkin Park, Bloc Party, Incubus and Hillsong United.
On August 1, 2012 Zebra Panic released their first EP demo with five songs written, recorded and produced by the band themselves. The song list includes: The Road Kill, The Alcoholic Deer, Zebra Cakes, Lions and Grey Elephants on a White Beach.
