Paul Undreiner / Bio

Paul S. Undreiner, a native of Long Island, NY, has been active in the Northeast as a performer, composer and educator for many years. As a performer, his repertoire is quite extensive, ranging from jazz to classical, opera to chamber music, from the recital stage to the organ loft. Paul has also composed numerous pieces for a variety of genres including works for piano, orchestra, choir, wind band, and chamber ensembles. He is currently the Chair of the Department of Music Theory, Composition, History, and Ear Training for the Mason Gross School of the Arts Extension Division of Rutgers University and also holds the position of Music Director at the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, NJ. Paul possesses a Bachelors Degree from Hartwick College, where he majored in Music with an emphasis in Piano Performance, a Masters Degree from The Hartt School, with a double major in Music Theory and Composition, and a Ph.D. from Rutgers University in Music Theory and Composition.
