Siobahn Hotaling started her musical career at the age of 15, and has been writing songs and performing ever since.
Over the past few years, Siobahn has split her time performing with a five-person a cappella group, while at the same time continuing to hone her songwriting skills. She recorded and released her first album, Heart on Fire, in June 2012. In 2013, Siobahn was accepted into the NYU Summer Songwriters Workshop, where she worked closely with renowned professional songwriters as well as talented peers. She is now working on songs for her second album.
Her songs focus on very personal and emotional subjects; in all of her musical endeavors, Siobahn seeks to uphold the values of expression, authenticity, and passion. Her songs are honest, challenging, and heartfelt; her intent for writing and performing is to give her audience an experience of joining her on an intimate emotional journey.
Her influences range from Joni Mitchell and Suzanne Vega to PJ Harvey, Fleetwood Mac, the Police, and R.E.M.
