Mustard Seed / Bio

Mustard Seed has been together since Oct. 2010. It is a gathering of some of the greatest jazz musicians in Dallas. Phil Brewer is the leader, and has played trumpet with the Marine Corp. band, and some of the best jazz artist from across the country. As he would say, "Im just a trumpet playing man".
Eddie, a Hammond B-3 master and drummer extraodinaire, and his vocalist wife Debbie come from Florida where he has played keys and drums with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie,James Moody, Ira Sullivan, Robert Goulet, Carol Lawrence, The Smothers Brothers, The Drifters, The Platters, Fats Domino, Julio Inglesias, and was Jaco Pastorious first drummer. Debbie is a classically trained musician who studied music at Nova Southwestern on a vocal scholarship for her undergraduate work. She is influenced by Karen Carpenter, and Diana Krall.
Aaron Irwensky studied Sax, and Flute at The University of Texas @ Arlington. He has played with The Ed Widner Big Band, Louie Belson band, Peter Erskine, Buddy Defranco, and the most renown artist in the US and Europe.
Rocky Martinez is a self made drummer whose influences are Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Danny Seraphine, Max Roach, and Dave Weckle. He has played in various bands from rock and roll to r b , funk, and jazz. He is a self proclaimed student of Drums and music, who is always on the lookout to learn more about his craft, so he can give more to the audience.
Mustard Seed is a band that wants to give all they can to the music, and your enjoyment. When you think of Jazz, all you need is to "plant the Mustard Seed, have faith, and watch it grow", and you will harvest great music!
