Obsessive Compulsive / Bio

Obsessive Compulsive released their debut album 'Dreams of Death and the Death of Dreams' in 2010 after more than earning their stripes on the UK's 'toilet' circuit and having released two (now completely sold out) EPs. Produced by Russ Russell (The Wildhearts/Evile/Napalm Death) and released on, their own label, Vociferous Records, the debut album was rapturously received by fans and highly praised by the underground press.
The band spent a couple of years touring the album, staying true to their DIY hard-work ethos with plenty of self-booked shows whilst also bagging support slots with the likes of Goldblade, GBH, Anthrax, The Damned Things, KMFDM, Wolfsbane and The Japanese Voyeurs as well as festival slots at Bloodstock, Hard Rock Hell and the legendary Download Festival. OC also achieved airplay on Scuzz and Kerrang TV with their videos 'Man Vs Machine and '27 1/2'.
In 2012 the band kept a fairly low profile and knuckled down to write their follow up... "Seculo Seculorum' meaning 'forever and ever' was recorded with James Loughrey (Skindred/Bjork/Page & Plant) in the freezing cold January of 2013 at Stronghold Studios, Newhaven. This second album sees the band loosen their sound, with a raw, alt-rock feel, jagged edged and guttural, this is the sound of a passionate band, playing their hearts out. Drawing from an ever wider pool of influence from noisy grunge to old school punk to shoe-gaze, with huge melodies intensely and heavily executed, the band is a tricky one to pigeonhole, but despite its eclecticism the sound is unmistakably OC’s own.
OC are hitting the road again in May 2013 prior to the album’s forthcoming June release, with several of the gigs set to sell out months in advance, this is a band that was made for the in-your-face excitement of the small stage, get down the front and get sweaty, this is the real deal.
