"Rude Cab Driver" started in an unusual way since drummer Francisco Leonardo Estrada aka "Leo" booked a show in his local town of Bethesda, MD at an Irish bar called Harp N Fiddle without any band members. Originally booking a show for his previous band, "Dale and the ZDubs". As a guest drummer Leo felt he could lend a hand to "Dale and the ZDubs" by setting up a show but due to scheduling could not be set. With no band Leo jumped at the opportunity to call an old friend Jeremy Sigel, who had not spoken to in nearly 12 years since they went to Rockville High back in year 2000. After high school guitarist/vocalist Jeremy created 100s of mp3s of finished punk songs that were written by Jeremy, with vocals, guitars, bass, drumming, and production. The songs were made in different houses/apartments in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Jeremy remained close friends with his previous band mate from high school John Mayhew, who was in band with Jeremy as the lead guitarist for a previous band called "Subtle Funk". After high school John played in various blues bands around Montgomery County and remained consistent as a musical artist. Since these mp3s were posted on Myspace throughout the years Leo contacted Jeremy through Facebook and asked if he would be interested in playing a show in 2 months. Jeremy agreed and suggested that long time friend John Mayhew play bass since the two were great friends that jammed together on occasion. The bands first show was on Fri. March 23, 2012 to a packed house with special guest "HipHopMcDougal". The show was a huge success and now RCD is preparing to play many more shows in the nearest future!
