Daniel Mer aka "MoBiUS tHe ShEpHeRD" originated from the Blackstone Valley in the late '90s as co-founder of the group Thought Process, alongside Neumatic Impact, who eventually produced an underground hit album "Constructed Criticism" in 2006. This album was distributed nationally on physical CDs, and is now available on Amazon.com. The album hit moderate underground success, with air play on WBRU's Homebrewed and WRIU 90.3. Mobius went on to produce a #1 hit single as a solo project in 2007, "Everything I Knew". In 2008 Mobius released the song "Lily Pad of Oxygen"; followed by his widely popular and mythical based track "Secret Box". Hiis most recent recording, “Edge of the Cliff, was produced in 2010. All four songs quickly solidified Mobius as not just another MC, but as a pioneering lyrical artist, musician and producer.
Mobius released his debut solo album titled 'Anamorphism' in 2010 through independent means. The album was quickly distributed throughout a vast network from Rhode Island, and the rest of New England, all the way west to Seattle, Washington, and it's surrounding areas. It's popularity has even crossed the Atlantic to the UK, and other countries in Europe. 'Anamorphism' includes a collection of new songs, and even 2 rare folk guitar tracks which have surprisingly been received favorably by his listeners. The album features guest producers and MCs; such as Connecticut's own, Geometric, who produced and rhymed on the track 'Confectionary Textures', and Rhode Island's own, N. Lund, who produced the album’s introductory track 'Multi-Directional Compass'. The album also features notable tracks produced, and featuring, Neumatic Impact of Thought Process. Overall, This new album gives listeners a taste of his creative approach towards the art form of Literary Hip-Hop; an artistic musical genre he helped pioneer. In time Mobius the Shepherd will be recognized as a unique MC, and musician, capable of generating interest in his expressive lyricism, and rhythmical break beats, blended with a positive, yet assertive, message.
