Sean Morris and the Pushy Casket Salesmen is a three piece band that plays an eclectic variety of music including Pop, Rock, Rap, Reggae, Metal, Soft Rock, Alternative and Experimental music. The band consists of Sean Morris (Lead Vocals and Guitar), Russ Skov (Bass Guitar and Vocals) and Neil Little (Drums and Vocals). They are currently looking for a Keyboard player and a bassist, so Russ Skov can be the second Guitarist. All three members are currently serving together on a ship in the US Navy.
Sean Morris began recording his music at TAP TAP Studios with producer Jacki Paola one year before Little and Skov reported to his command. Although the Pushy Casket Salesmen had not yet existed, he used the name for his music. After putting out a few songs online he met Little through his friend Trevor Vickers and the two began practicing the songs together. Shortly after, Skov joined the band. They practice in Morris' room by channeling most of the instruments and vocals through a home stereo system. They played one show at a party and have several more on the horizon.
Sean Morris writes the lyrics and foundation of the song while Skov completes it with phat ass bass lines and Hall and Oates quality vocal melodies and Little holds that shit down with the precision of a metronome and Gillette 5 love child.
The music is very lyrically driven, with abstract and excessively specific subject matter, slang, humor and unconventional wording. A large emphasis is put on simply making the lyrics aesthetically pleasing without becoming non nonsensical.
Their first album titled "Yeah Skitch" is currently in progress. Sean's plan is to have it released before he separates from the Navy in 2014.
