Although once a collective effort, Lifestyle has been decommissioned over a copyright dispute with Stephen Perkins Jr. All songs were jointly constructed as "Lifestyle," but Perkins did not see it that way. Thus, Steve decided it was best to dissociate his efforts and begin a solo project. Thanks for all the love and support. -It will always be "A Lifestyle," for the music is what mattered most.
Description: Compared to such bands as Staind, Alice in Chains, and Three Days Grace, LIFESTYLE is a fusion of Hard and Alternative rock that is stirring up a buzz in Central Florida music scene. With influences spanning from the early 90’s Seattle “Grunge” bands to the late 90’s/early 00’s Alternative Hard Rock bands, LIFESTYLE brings a unique sound getting back to the alternative rock roots that once had a strong hold on the local artist community of Central Florida. -It's A Lifestyle
Bio: Lifestyle started after longtime friends Ben Livingston (Bassist) and Scott Zimmerman (Drummer) were shown a video of Stephen Perkins(Vocals/Guitarist) playing guitar on a friend’s camera phone. Instantly recognizing the sound that the two had been looking for, and after a few failed attempts at starting other projects, they quickly contacted Stephen to come and play with them. After practicing for a few weeks with Ben and Scott, Stephen asked a friend of his to start doing vocals. Two months of practice went by and the band decided to go into the studio to record their first song "Peace by Piece." Very shortly after going into the studio, Stephen had a family emergency and had to relocate to Detroit, Michigan for a few months. While gone, Ben and Scott continued to practice and keep the creativity flowing until Stephen’s return. After returning from Michigan, Lifestyle went right back to making music as if Stephen had never left. Following a few shows at local Orlando venues and receiving very positive reviews, the band started gaining momentum. But soon after going into the studio to record their second single, the vocalist decided to part ways with Lifestyle. In a state of confusion and not sure where the band was headed Ben, having heard Stephen sing on many occasions, asked Stephen to step up to the mic. Very nervous to do so, Stephen took the opportunity as a challenge and Lifestyle was back to making music finishing up their second single, "Walk Away." Getting nothing but positive reviews from the song, the band was once again gaining back the momentum it once had. Currently the band is featured on 101.1 WJRR's “Native Noise" with their newest single "Your Name" and the band has been working towards putting the finishing touches to their live set. This band is no longer active.
