Team Shark Week is a Chico, CA based indie-electro duo consisting of Matt Houar (vocals, guitar, keyboard) and Steve Spirk (Bass, Keyboards, Engineering). Team Shark Week formed in the closing months of 2006 with the goal of having a two-man outfit that could get people dancing with the effectiveness of a four-man crew. After months of painstaking work, they began playing shows in January of 2007. Summer 2008 saw the release of Team Shark Week’s first album, Hospitalizer, featuring fan favorite “Waffle Party.” After a small hiatus Team Shark Week returned to the metaphorical grind stone and started expanding and experimenting their Indie Electro sound. Their ever-expanding song catalogue brings us the upcoming EP, “Nemo Saltat Sobrius” or, “Nobody Dances Sober” for us non-Greeks (well the band isn’t Greek either…so…hrm…), and future full length album “Today, I Am Robot.”
Since their beginning, Team Shark Week has played in Chico, Portland, Eugene, and Oakland.
