A guitarist and vocalist, Rich grew up hanging out in the basements, garages and venues of Chicago listening to local bands, and has always been passionate about a great performance of hard-driving rock. Working at Wrigleyville’s legendary music venue Metro/Smart Bar, he was turned on to thousands of live acts with as much in common as they were unique. Great bands, great sound, all in an intimate setting; he draws from all of those experiences when he takes the stage with his ’84 Stratocaster.
He currently fronts his own rock power trio, Zielin, and is the vocalist for Bridge of Sighs: a Tribute to Robin Trower. His previous bands include San Antonio’s Amplifyd, and Austin’s Grissomhill. Influenced by all styles of music, some of the guitarists he admires the most include Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, and David Gilmour. Some of his favorite vocalists include Eddie Vedder, James Dewar, and Elvis Presley.
