Cutthroat Inc. originally started back in 1988 (although they didn’t know it) when Simon and DeVries began writing songs together. Heavily influenced by the sleazy sounds coming from the Sunset Strip at that time, they continued forming bands and projects together over the years with some minor success.
It took a long time, but Cutthroat Inc. rounded into its first true lineup back in the fall of 2004. They brandished their own style of raw, honest, flash and trash rock ‘n’ roll. Rhythm guitar player Dave Kielma was a part of that mix. He brought an even dirtier and heavier sound- much more Slayer influenced than Motley Crue. Odd formula, but it worked…After a few years, typical band drama had brought that lineup to an end.
After a two year hiatus, the band began its resurrection…Those three have included a new powerhouse rhythm section of bass player Mark SanFilippo and Eric Knack. They both bring exceptional creativity and their own unique styles to the table, no holds barred. The musical and personal chemistry was undeniable. Without these two, the band may not even exist today.
Some songs from earlier lineups, as well as some new material (that never seems to end), are rounding out the current set list. As usual, fueled by beer and diesel, this beast is back on a roll…
Can you dig it?
