Temple Earth is a hard rock band from San Francisco, California. With gnarled melodic vocals, nasty hard hitting guitar riffs, deep pocket thumping bass grooves and face melting sonic excursions at the top of the list of ingredients, Temple Earth creates the raw, heavy , in-your-face dirty sound that is their calling card.
Officially formed in early 2011 by vocalist/guitarist Chris Mondragon and bassist Luis Mayorga, Temple Earth left the garage at lightspeed, playing their first gig on the day of the Rapture. Although the world did not end, there was a new beginning that night, for there were some interesting people in that crowd.
Shortly after that T.E. entered the famous Studio 880 (home to Green Day) to lay down three tracks on analogue tape with legendary drummer Brain Mantia (formerly of Primus and Guns N Roses). The sessions were produced by none other than Mr. John Lucasey (who's worked with everyone) and engineered by Brad Kobylczack and Grammy Award winner Chris Dugan (Best rock album of the Year for engineering Green Day's "21st Century Breakdown").
Soon after that, T.E. jumped into filming a music video, directed by John Lucasey, for the track "Mammoth" with a special guest appearance by Michael Urbano (formerly of Smash Mouth, Third Eye Blind and Cake) on the drumset.
With all the pieces falling into place and with plans for touring and an album in the works, Temple Earth stands poised to explode onto the national music scene in 2012.
