Reviews of Jacko Poli's second studio album, Jagged Recollections:
There are no wasted notes or time on this album – none! It is filled with razor sharp hooks and terrific musicianship.
From quiet & mellow to upbeat and driven, the songs featured on Jagged Recollections are all parts of a colourful sonic mosaic that paints a beautiful picture.
This is a thinking man’s record. From the booming bass elements, to the trumpet, piano, and lyrical balance, you are treated to an array of prowess throughout the record. It’s pop, it’s rock, it’s alternative, it’s an eclectic blend of sounds.

About Because it Burns:
‘Because it Burns’ is a romping indie rock piece with fantastic lead vocals and a sonically compelling landscape chock-full of trumpet. How can you not love that?
Because It Burns begins with distorted guitar and a swirling beat that any Madchester band would have been proud of, then develops into a well constructed indie/pop song that bursts into an anthemic, instantly memorable chorus after a brooding verse of subtle organ and rhythmic guitar stabs. Flourishes of trumpet peppered throughout the song add musical colour and a touch of Dexy’s style exuberance.
