Jason is an independent songwriter and performer who hails from the Kansas City area. He performs both as a solo artist and with his band, Freedom Calls, at local KC venues such as the Record Bar, the Granada and First Fridays. Jason has also been found singing backup for Ben Folds with the Kansas City Symphony orchestra at the Kaufman Center and for Star Wars in Concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Sprint Center.
After his dad taught him to play "Blackbird" on the guitar at the age of 12, Jason never looked back. He found himself turning to writing poetry and songs as a way of self-expression. Now, he finds himself writing music about his life, his friends' lives, his Creator, and occasionally about stuff on public television.
Jason's ability to meld the lyric and the line leads to songs that are earthy and honest, and his works represent both songs of great joy and songs of the weary traveler.
What people are saying . . .

"Everything I need to know in life I can get from public television and Jason's songs."
