Cover Story News EP release “Meeting Alamar” debuted at the world famous Whisky A Go-Go in November 2012, a collaborative project created by five members of Cover Story News. Featuring Evangeline on lead vocals and arrangements by bassist Steve Benchek, guitarists Phillip Tirman and Joe Purpura and drummer, Kim Schmitt.
This EP offers a sampling of the band’s musical versatility pushing the boundaries of mixed genres; an inherent band trait with "Drama King" which brings together everything we crave about a surf-punk song -- blazing hot guitar solos, vehement lyrics, driving drum beats and sweet bass grooves; "In Her Smile," an acoustic inspirational ballad and “The Only Thing I Ever Did Right," is best described as a quirky, progressive-country tune. The epic single, “Find My Way” journeys through Americana, alternative-folk and discovers the courage of the heartland. The EP, "Meeting Alamar," is published by Cover Story News, LLC and is available through CD Baby go to:
