Winter Jones' sound is Top 40 pop - solid, catchy hooks laced with undeniable talent, reminiscent of Prince, Madonna, and George Michael. His debut album, O My God, was produced by Michael Bland (Prince, Soul Asylum) and Ryan Liestman (Jonas Brothers).
Winter is not just a soulful and versatile voice, but an accomplished actor with numerous film credits such as American Dreamz, Meet the Spartans, House Broken, and The Taqwacores. He also had several recurring and guest roles in television including Roommates, Girlfriends, and HBO’s The Comeback starring Lisa Kudrow. Jones effortlessly uses this screen experience to deliver electrifying performances with cinematic flair.
Before partnering up with Minneapolis powerhouses Bland, Liestman, and John Fields (Demi Lovato, The Jonas Brothers, Pink), Winter formed The Hollabacks, who were the 2010 “Slurpee Battle of the Bands” winners. They opened for N*E*R*D at the Fillmore East in New York City, added their performance to Wolfgang’s Vault, and were the face of Slurpee for six months. They also featured two of their songs in the thriller Cyrus, which Winter also starred in alongside Lance Henriksen.
Assuming the alias LADYBOI, Winter took the underground music scene in Minneapolis and New York City, packing dive bars and commanding his audience to shake it as good and hard as they can give it. Although he shed the persona in 2014, you'll still hear his fans call him Lady.
Fueled by a passion to both change and entertain the world, Winter makes every show, every song, and every moment invitations to “let your freak-self shine.”
