The Blood / Bio

On 8 June 2012 The Blood is reformed by The Cardinal and Chema Zurita aka Sonic Offender with a powerful line up of regulars from the classic bands Uk Subs, Conflict, and Last Resort.

The reformation of The Blood will see the bringing back to the world stage of their 1980s anthems. The reformation of The Blood, after 30 years since the release of their classic songs, is a tribute to the works of The Cardinal and JJ Bedsore. Rest In Peace JJ.

The Blood, a legendary phenomena from the 80s punk epoch will be performing all their old classic songs and releasing an album for the 30th anniversary. The band formed in 1982 led by The Cardinal and JJ Bedsore. Their volatile sound is a pulsating chorus of punk harmonic noise. The Blood's music blends together with mastery Punk, Oi!, Metal, football chants and shock rock.

They were managed by Garry Bushell and their song "Such Fun" was on the Oi! compilation album Oi! Oi! That's Yer Lot!. A record deal with No Future Records resulted in the stunning "Megalomania” EP and a No.6 Indie Chart hit. Same year "Stark Raving Normal” single hit No.20.

Their first album, False Gestures for a Devious Public hit the UK top 30 and was voted one of the year’s best releases by Sounds magazine. The Blood anthems now have a cult following all around the world.

The Blood are the amplified iconoclasts of the iconoclasts. Look out for this legendary punk rock band, and their phenomenal show, as they strut like rabid peacocks across the global plateau...
