Kirk Baxley is singer songwriter currently based out of Belton, TX. He currently tours the Texas Country/Americana concert circuit, occasionally touring nationally. Kirk is a soulful, genuine and honest performer whose original songs are about faith, love, family and life in a small town.
Kirk was born a natural performer. He began writing songs at the age of 15 and was trained classically throughout high school. At 19 he was signed onto an Independent Record label and management firm, Brando Records/Rainmaker Artists. The self-titled album “Greatness in Tragedy” was produced by platinum record selling producer, David Castell. After 3 years touring nationally, Kirk revamped his sound and started Mothers Anthem. The band broke barriers and brought new life to the rock scene with songs that lifted and connected with those seeking to find music with a meaning.
While with Mothers Anthem, Kirk would stay up all night in hotel rooms writing Country songs. After much thought and lots of invocation he left the rock and roll scene to sing more authentic songs about family, love, heartache and the Lord. In the short time he has been in the country scene he as performed with everyone from Aaron Watson, Eric Paslay to Stoney LaRue and Wade Bowen.
With a wealth of touring and recording experience, Baxley has released two E.P.s available on ITunes and is currently working on his first full length Country record slated to release early spring. Kirk’s first single “Drive” debuted on the Texas Regional Radio Chart at #105 and is currently at #72 and climbing. Baxley’s band is a group of extremely talented musicians who perform a dynamic, passionate, entertaining live show that keeps fans happy, dancing and coming back for more.
